Export your Outlook Contacts to your Google Gmail account


In the previous thread, we guided you how to transfer your Gmail account’s contacts into the Outlook Application. In this thread, we guide you how to export your Outlook Contacts into your Google Gmail Account. The procedure which we carried out to import contacts into Outlook remains one and the same for exporting the Outlook Contacts into Gmail but with only few minor changes. Below is a tutorial that will allow you to export your Outlook contacts into your Gmail account.


1) Click on the ‘File’ tab and then click on ‘Open->Import’.

2) In the ‘Import and export wizard’ window thus opened, click on the ‘Export to a File’ and click on the ‘Next’ button.

3) Now in the “export to a File” window thus opened, click on the ‘Comma Separated Values (DOS) and click on the ‘Next’ button.

4) Now select the folder from which you want to export the contacts and click on the ‘Next’ button.

5) Now select the exact file which you want to export by clicking on the ‘Browse’ button and then click on the ‘Next’ button.

6) Now finally in the new window thus opened, click on the ‘Finish’ button.

7) Now log in to your Gmail account and click on the ‘Contacts’ tab.

8) Now in the “Contacts” window thus opened, click on the drop down arrow of the ‘More Actions’ button to choose the ‘Import’ button.

9) Now in the ‘Import Contacts’ dialogue box, click on the browse button to select the file that you want to import into the Gmail account and then click on ‘Import’.
