Steps to add tabbed browsing to windows 7 explorer

In this tutorial we deal with the process of making explorer still more usable with the integrated tab navigation.

The windows 7 explorer is more usable compared to the previous version and with the features like breadcrumbs and integrated search box in the address bar and it will be difficult for the user to shuffle between folders and the multiple windows.

Adding of tabs to windows explorer

In the first step user has to download QTTabbars to add bars and it has to be installed normally.

After the installation box has to be checked for explorer restart and user can check the box and can QTTabBar can be used and computer has to be rebooted before using it.

User has to open the explorer window after the installation of QTTabBar and the tab bar has to be activated and for this procedure user has to press Alt key to activate temporarily and user has to click organize and menu bar has to be selected under this layout.

In the next step user has to open view menu and Toolbars has to be selected and QT TabBar has to be clicked for the activation of tabs.

In the next step user can view a tab bar which shows the name of folder which is browsing on active tab and in case user misses the up button in Explorer user can get it by QTTabBar and user has to double click on tab to go up for folder.

The user can open the folder the new tab by dragging it into tab bar.

In the user has to right click on the tabs to close and folder address has to be copied by the user and option done has to be clicked.

The user has switch between the Ctrl+Tab and preview can be viewed when the folder is selected.

The user can notice a down arrow from the folder and has to click to browse the files in folder from pop menu and it helps in saving of time.

The user has got many options in QTTabBar and user can tweak from the options pane and user right click on empty part of tab bar and options has to be selected.
