How to set hibernation mode in windows 7


Introduction


In this tutorial we will guide you how to set the computer in hibernation mode in windows 7.


Hibernation mode is set when the data of the system are permanently stored in the hard drive and after the computer power off, you can retain all the current user state and after the computer is turned on the memory can be got back with the hibernation data which will allow you to resume from the past session which you were working.


This feature is mainly designed for the laptop users and it will be very handy in saving of power and the battery life can be extended when the computer is idle and it will be very handy for the desktop as it can save the power and session can be started very quickly.


Some computers will not be able to activate it by default and you have to enable it manually.


• Click on start menu.

• Type “cmd” in search menu in start box.

• Right click on option and select “Run as Administrator”.

• Type “powercfg/hibernate on” and hit enter.

Now the hiberanate mode will be enabled.

To disable hibernate mode replace “on” with “off”.


Now you have to open the power options panel.


• Click on start menu.

• Select control panel.

• Select “Power options”.

• Click on “change plan settings” option.

• Now scroll down and select “Sleep”.

• Select “Allow Hybrid Sleep”.
