How to set windows 7 menu to open either in left or right side

Introduction

In this tutorial we will guide you how to set the menu in windows 7 to open either in the right side or in the left side when you click on menu bar.

Here you have to make note that the menu will not be having large space to open fully at the display screen or the window border.

• Click on start menu.

• Type “regedit” in search box in start menu and hit enter.

• Click on yes if prompted by UAC.

• Select the option “HKEY_CURRENT_USER".

• Click on the option “Software”.

• Selection the option “Microsoft”.

• Click on the option “Windows NT”.

• Select “Current Version”.

• Click on the option “Windows”.

• Right click on empty area in the windows right pane.

• Click on “New” and select “string value”.

To open the menu to left

• Type “
MenuDropAlignment
” and hit enter.

• Right click on “MenuDropAlignment”.

• Click “Modify”.

• Type “1” and click ok.

To open menu to right

• Right click on “MenuDropAlignment”.

• Click on “Delete”.

• Close Regedit.
