How to add tabbed browsing to windows explorer in windows 7

Introduction

In this tutorial we will guide you how to add the tabbed browsing in explorer in windows 7 and here this application will be very useful when you are browsing or copying the files in different folders and here you can make more use of the integrated tab navigation.

• Here to add tabs you have to download QTTabBars and have to install in the normal procedure.

• After the installation, check the box to restart the explorer and you can use QTTabBar.

• Click on start menu.

• Type “Windows Explorer” in search box in start menu and hit enter.

• Now you need to activate the tab bar and for this you need to press Alt key to activate it or you can also click on “Organize” and has to select the “Menu Bar” under the layout.

• Now click on “View” option in the menu bar and select “Toolbars” under it.

• Click on “QTTabbar” to activate the tab.

• Now you can view the new tab bar which will display the name of the folder presently you are using.


• Here you can also open the new folder by dragging it into the tab bar.

• Right click on the tab to close, copy the folder and still more.

• Here by clicking CTrl+Tab key you can switch between the different tabs.

• QTTabBar still has many more features ands for the additional settings right click on empty area of tab bar and select “Options”.

• Here you can change the keyboard shortcuts for appearance, window behavior, tab and more.
