    Default Cannot install windows 8 on vmware

    What the hell does this mean? I tried installing this on the virtual machine that vmware creates, everytime I get this error, I have no idea how to solve this.

    I also checked the SHA 1 hashes from here

    Windows 8 Consumer Preview ISO formats,
    they match 100% with the iso I have...

    Make sure you have the latest version of whichever VMWare software you're using.

    BTW, you can install Windows 8 using VMWare Player which is free and not just VMWare Workstation:

    I have VMware workstation 8.

    Apperently you cannot install the x64 version, only the x86.

    Is this true?
