    Default Problem with VPN in Windows Server 2003

    I have established a VPN connection with Windows Server 2003. VPN clients can ping the IPs of the domain computers and router. If I ping the server inside the LAN, it pings well. If I ping the server from a VPN client, it will not work.

    Please help me..

    You have to use either IP addresses or FQDN, like server.mydomain.com. If it works nicely then OK or else you have to setup WINS server on the targeted LAN and the WINS server must be negotiated when VPN is established.

    Or, you have to setup DNS server to internal server and DNS zone to internal network and remove your own DNS server because you have already setup VPN.

    To setup DNS server on VPN, you need a batch file. And it depends on the client’s OS. You can refer the below site for more details:
