Help! I know how to insert a jpg into an excel sheet, how to change the icon, the displayed name etc... However everytime I do I have to manually the icon for the object to what I want it to be and can not for the life of me figure out why, since my coworkers do not. All other files (word, bitmaps, etc...) show the same icons as my co-workers, but jpg come up as a blank. Is there a way to permanently fix this?
Also - is there a way to have excel chop the name off for the icons so it is just the file name and not the whole path? I never need the object to update if changes are made to the original file, blah, blah, blah. I typically have to embed 12 or more files in hundreds of excel sheets and each one i have to go into and chop the name to just the file name. AHH!!!
I'm running Excel 2010 as are all my co-workers.
Thanks a million!![]()
