I have Linksys WAP54G Access Point. It is connected to Netgear FVS318 Prosafe Router. I have the 192.168.1.178 IP address and the default IP address is 192.168.1.1 when it connected to a router. But Netgear is using 192.168.0.1 as a default IP address. Now, i am unable to find the Access Point IP Address.
I have tried using ipconfig /all but it shows only IP address of the router. When I use netstumbler, but it shows only Access Points MAC address, IP address is blank.
Can I get any assistance?
First, disconnect the Netgear router from the Linksys Access Point. If the Access Point is using the network 192.168.1.0 and netgear is using the network 192.168.0.0 and if the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0, then they will not be able to communicate each other. Try changing the IP address of Access Point.
After doing this also if you canít find the Access Point IP Address, then use NEWT Professional. It will show you everything. Below is the download link:
