Post Problem with shared folder on another domain system

Hi, I have three computers. One system is using Windows Server 2003 running as a domain controller. Another two systems are running on Windows XP. Let me call Windows XP systems as PC 1 and PC 2 respectively. I have shared a folder on PC 1. But, PC 2 is unable to see the shared folder. It shows the error message as “\\PC-2 is not accessible. Contact your network administrator for access permissions”.

So, how can I get PC 1 to have the access on PC 2 and vice versa?

Add your PC 1 to your domain system. To add, follow the below steps:

    1) Right-click on My Computer
    2) Click on Properties and then click on Computer Name tab.
    3) Click on Network ID.

Then provide your domain name and admin credentials. And set the DNS Service for domain. Because, without the DNS Service, you can’t run the domain!
