Post Unable to copy the files over network from Windows Vista?

I have two Windows Vista systems, let us say vista 1 is 32-bit and vista 2 is 64-bit, and one more is Macbook. On the Macbook, I can copy the files from vista 1. But, I can’t copy from vista 2 system. Whenever I attempt to copy, it shows me the error message as “The finder could not complete the operation because some data in ‘location of the file’ could not be read or written to. Error code: 36”.

Check whether Sharing and Discovery option is turned On or Off in Network and Sharing Center. If it is turned Off, then make it On. After making On also if it doesn’t work, then try to set the optimizations for TCP in Vista.

Run the below command in command prompt on vista 2 system i.e. 64-bit system:

netsh interface tcp set global chimney=disabled autotuning=disabled.

After that, to ensure, reset the default behaviour. To so this, run the below command:

netsh interface tcp set global chimney=default autotuning=normal
