Tiger Woods Returns With a Bang

Tiger Woods fans had plenty to cheer about when Tiger Woods returned to the Golf Course with a win over Australian Brendan Jones in the first round of WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona.

It is Tiger Woods’s first tournament after his recovery from the ligament surgery, which he underwent in June 2008. It was a commendable performance after being on the sidelines for more than eight months.



The 33-yr old defending Champion birdied four holes, scored one eagle and also three bogeys. In the middle part of the first round his performance was not up to the mark as he hit couple of very loose irons.



The match ended on the 16th hole with Woods up by three shots which was difficult to match by his opponent.

The whole Ritz Carlton Golf Club was up with roars as Woods hit the final birdie. Addressing the press conference he said that it was a wonderful returning back to where he belonged. He remarked that the day was a good one as he started hitting the ball well.
