1. Go to START MENU.


2. In the empty START SEARCH box, type regedit.


3. Press ENTER.


4. In the UAC prompt, click CONTINUE.


5. In the regedit, go as HKEY_CURRENT_USER, click CONTROL PANEL, then click DESKTOP and then click WindowsMetrics.

6. FOR TASKBAR ICONS,


a. Right click the empty space in the right pane.


b. Click NEW and STRING VALUE.


c. Type MinWidth. Press ENTER.

d. Right click MinWidth.


e. Click MODIFY.

7. RESTORE TASKBAR BUTTONS,


a. Right click MinWidth in the right pane.


b. Click DELETE.


c. Click YES for the confirmation of delete.
