1. Go to START MENU.

2. Type regedit into the empty space of START SEARCH box.

3. Press ENTER.

4. In the UAC prompt, click CONTINUE.

5. Now go as – HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, click SystemFilesAssociations and then click image.

6. Right click TREATMENT in the right pane of the registry.

7. Click MODIFY.

8. Type the number in VALUE DATA NUMBER which will assign the border that you wish all the Windows Explorer images to adopt.

9. Click OK.

10. Close regedit.

11. To view the change in the border, just press F5 button or click REFRESH on the desktop.
