Post Problem with Ethernet in Vista

I have installed Windows Vista Business operation system on my HP xw4600 workstation on a wired LAN. It has Broadcom NetXtreme gigabit Ethernet adaptor. When I browse the website and if I click any link on it, then I won’t get any response. I have closed Internet Explorer and restarted it, but still now change. I also tried with Mozilla Firefox, but no use. If I disable the Ethernet adaptor, the system will get hang and I have to reboot the system. Anyone know about this issue? How to fix it?

Try to update the driver. If driver is up-to-date, then make sure that the driver is compatible with Windows Vista. Also check for the newer version of firmware. Then also if problem persists, then try to change or replace the NIC card.
