    Thumbs up Task manager, enable or disable in vista

    1. Go to START MENU.


    2. In the START SEARCH box, type regedit.


    3. Press ENTER.


    4. In the UAC prompt, click CONTINUE.


    5. In regedit, proceed as – HKEY_CURRENT_USER, now click SOFTWARE, click MICROSOFT, then click WINDOWS and then click CURRENT VERSION. And also click POLICIES and SYSTEM.


    6. FOR DISABLING THE TASK MANAGER,


    a. Right click the empty space,


    b. Now click NEW.


    c. Click DWORD (32 Bit) Value.


    d. Type DisableTaskMgr.


    e. Press ENTER.


    f. Now right click DisableTaskMgr and click MODIFY.


    g. Type 1.


    h. Click OK.


    7. FOR ENABLING THE TASK MANAGER


    a. Right click the DisableTaskMgr in the right pane.


    b. Click DELETE.


    c. Click YES for confirming the delete.

    8. Now close regedit.
