1. Go to START MENU.

2. Type eventvwr in the empty START SEARCH box.

3. Press ENTER.

4. In the UAC prompt, click CONTINUE.

5. Now click the name of the log that you like to send E-mail notification in the left pane.

6. Click the name of the type of event for the name of that log in the middle pane.

7. ClicK the link – ATTACH TASK TO THIS EVENT.

8. Fill the details.

9. Click NEXT.

10. Click NEXT in the window – WHEN THE SPECIFIC EVENT IS LOGGED.

11. Click and dot the radio button – SEND AN E-MAIL.

12. Click NEXT.

13. Fill the detailed information about the E-mail regarding where you like to send the E-mail. Remember that the SMTP server will be the same as in your windows E-mail account.

14. Click NEXT.

15. Go for a proof reading of what you have written. If wrong or not satisfied, Click BACK and make corrections.

16. After everything is done, click the button – FINISH.

17. Close the EVENT VIEWER window.

18. In case you wish to delete the E-mail notification, just go to TASK SCHEDULER and right click on the task and then click DELETE.
