How to scan e-mails and removable drives such as USB flash drives through Windows Defender in Windows 7?

To scan e-mails and removable drives through Windows Defender follow these simple steps:

1) Open Control Panel (All items view) and double click on Windows Defender icon.

2) In the Windows Defender window click on Tools and then Options link

3) Click on Advanced option in the left pane and check the Scan e-mail and Scan removable drives option as highlighted below

4) Now click Save button
