How to pin Control Panel to Taskbar in Windows 7?

To pin Control Panel to Taskbar follow these simple steps:

1) Right click on the Desktop and click on New and then Shortcut option

2) In the Create Shortcut window type or copy %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe shell:ControlPanelFolder in the text box and click Next button

3) Now type Control Panel in the text box and click Finish button

4) Now right click on the shortcut icon on the Desktop and choose Properties

5) In the Properties window click Change Icon button

6) In the Change Icon window type %SystemRoot%\system32\imageres.dll under Look for icons in this file statement and press Enter key

7) Now choose the Control Panel icon of your choice and press OK button

8) Now drag the Control Panel icon on the Desktop to the Taskbar until you see Pin to Taskbar pop up message

9) The Control Panel icon is now pinned to Taskbar as shown in Figure 1. You can now delete the Control Panel shortcut from the Desktop.
