I have two Windows Server 2008 Core Serves. I am trying to configure a private network on the second NIC card for access to iSCSI storage on a Windows Storage Server 2003. NIC1 is on the corporate LAN which is working fine. It has a gateway. NIC2 is on a separate VLAN. It doesn’t have any gateway. From the core server, access to the network works fine. I have tried by enabling forwarding using the following command on both the cards:
netsh interface ipv4 set interface “Cluster NIC” forwarding=enabled
Please help me. What to do now?
Make sure that your Windows Firewall has been disabled. As, sometimes, Windows Firewall causes the problems on core server. Run the below command and disable the Windows Firewall and then try it:
netsh firewall set opmode disable
In order to enable it again, just replace “disable” with the “enable”.
