How to change Superfetch Preload data in Windows Vista?
Superfetch is a feature that remembers which programs and applications you use mostly and loads them into the RAM for faster access. With the help of this setting you can configure the Superfetch to preload the following files:
•Boot files
•Program files
•Both of the above
You can accomplish this in the following way:
1) Open Registry Editor
2) Navigate to the folder
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters in the left pane

3) Double click the DWORD EnablePrefetcher in the right pane.
4) Now to preload the files type one of the following in the Edit DWORD (32-bit) Value dialog box:
To preload only Program Files – Type 1
To preload only Boot Files – Type 2
To preload both of the above – Type 3

5) Click OK button and close Registry Editor.
6) Finally Log off and then Log on or restart your PC for the changes to take effect.
