How to Disable Delete Browsing History feature in Internet Explorer in Windows Vista?

If you enable this setting then the users will not be able to delete Browsing History through Internet Explorer. The Internet Options window will thus display a disabled Delete button under Browsing history section.

You can accomplish this in the following manner:

1) Open Local Group Policy Editor window

2) Navigate to the folder

User Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Internet Explorer in the left pane

3) Now double click the option Turn off “Delete Browsing History” functionality in the right pane as highlighted in the above figure.

4) Now select the dot Enabled to disable “Delete Browsing History” functionality

Note: You can select the dot Not Configured or Disabled to enable “Delete Browsing History” functionality

5) Click Apply and then OK button
