Post Unable to connect to the internet after upgrading the RAM in Windows Vista

I am running Windows Vista operating system on my Dell Dimension 5100 Desktop Computer. I have recently upgraded the RAM and now I am unable to connect to the internet or to the network. The computer connects through the router. The remaining computers on the network can access the internet. In the router, it shows the entire computer on the network, but it shows the newly upgraded RAM computer as inactive. Please help me.
