Creating a Cheese in Photoshop


Step 1.

Open a document of "500" Width "500" Height and "72" dpi resolution

Step 2.

Create a new layer. Click on the "Rectangular Marquee Tool" and make a rectangular selection and Fill the selection with "Yellow" color i used yellow color "#f8d135"

Step 3.

Make a new layer first then select "Elliptical Marquee Tool (M)" and make a new circular selection. Set the Foreground color as brown i used "#cc8509". Press "Alt+Backspace"

Step 4.

This Step draw a little bit big circle and right click on it and select "Layer Via Copy"

Step 5.

Now first press "Ctrl+click" to load the selection. Set the Foreground color is "#fdf07c" and Background color is "#efdd4b"
set the Gradient as "Radial Gradient" and drag inside the selected brown circular region.

Step 6.

Now select Both the layer residing inside the layer palette, right click and select "Merge Layer". Now Right click on the layer select "Duplicate layer". A new duplicate layer has been created. With the help of Move tool you can shift the layer. Make many such layers. To make the cheese pit in different sizes just select the layer and press "Ctrl+T" it will activate "Transformation Tool".

After these steps you will get such result shown below.

Step 7.

Now create a new layer. Select the "Polygonal Lasso Tool" and draw a selection as shown below.

Step 8.

Now Select the Foreground color as light "Brown", click on the "Gradient Tool" and select "Linear Gradient" as gradient style. Now drag the cursor from bottom to top inside the selected Rectangle.

Now right click on the layer and make "Duplicate Layer". Go to "Move Tool" and shift the duplicate rectangle at the top. Now make sure you have selected the duplicate layer containing the rectangle press "Ctrl+T" and place the rectangle at its proper place.

Step 9.

Now select the Corner rectangle layer and with help of "Elliptical Marquee Tool (M)" and press "Delete" key on your key board.

Step 10.

Now for Finishing touch select the "Layer 1" that contains yellow Rectangle and add noise. Go to Filter=>Noise=>Add Noise and apply the following settings.

Repeat the same procedure for both corner rectangle.
