How to perform System Restore in Windows Vista?
System Restore feature restores the system files, programs and registry settings to an earlier state of the system. If you encounter any problem with your PC then you can undo it via System Restore feature.
Note:
• All your recent files such as pictures, documents, e-mails and so on remain unaffected.
• It will not restore a deleted file.
• Restore to time earlier than when you encounter a problem with Vista
Option 1:
You can accomplish this in the following manner:
1) Open Start Menu and type rstrui in the search box and press Enter key

2) Click Continue button if prompted by UAC
3) In the System Restore window click the Next button

4) Click on one of the desired restore point and click the Next button

5) Click Finish button.

6) Click Yes button to comfirm

7) Wait while the process finishes. The system will restart automatically.
8) You will get a message of successful restore
Option 2: Using Vista Installation DVD
You can accomplish this in the following manner:
1) Boot to System Recovery Options

2) In the System Recovery Options window choose the option System Restore
3) Now follow the steps as shown in above Option 1 from step 3
