Post Cannot connect to the console session on Windows 2003 Server

I have two five computers. Two are Windows XP, two are Windows Vista and one is Windows 2003 Server. From the Windows XP, I use the command “mstsc /console /v: <Server IP Address>” to connect to the console session of Windows Server 2003. When I use the same command in the Windows Vista computers, it opens Terminal Service Session but not the console session. So, how to use the command in Vista to connect to the console session? Please help me.

If you want to run the command in Windows Vista computers, then use the same command, but you have to use the /admin switch in place of /console switch. The command should look like the below:

    “mstsc /admin /v: <Server IP Address>”
