Default Fix “Not able to Rename or Move Folders” problem

How to fix Not able to Rename or Move Folders problem in Windows Vista?

You may encounter a strange behaviour while renaming or moving the folders in Vista. You may get the error The File or Folder does not exist.

Apart from this you may be unable to restore the deleted files from the Recycle bin.

To fix this problem follow these steps:

    1) Download the file RenameMoveFix.zip given at the bottom of the post under the Attached files section

    2) Save it to a desired location

    3) Open the file RenameMoveFix.zip and double click the RenameMoveFix.reg file
