Post Network connection goes inactive after creating VPN connection

I have added the VPN connection on my computer. But, after adding the VPN connection, my network connection goes inactive i.e. disconnected. Why it is disconnecting? Can anyone help me? Please.

Right on the VPN connection and select Properties. Then click on Networking tab. Then select Internet Protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click on Properties button. Then, click on Advanced button. Then, in the IP Settings tab, make sure that “Use default gateway to the remote network” checkbox is not selected. If it is selected then deselect it. Then, click on OK.
