Default Configure Disk Cleanup to clear Temporary Files accessed within a week

How to set Last Access Limit on Temporary Files or Configure Disk Cleanup to clear Temporary Files accessed within a week in Windows Vista?

The Disk Cleanup feature in Vista cannot clear or delete the Temporary Files accessed within a week by default. This tutorial will help you in configuring Disk Cleanup to clear Temporary Files accessed within a week.

You can accomplish this in the following manner:

1) Open Registry Editor and navigate to the key branch

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ VolumeCaches \ Temporary Files in the left pane

2) Double click the LastAccess key value in the right pane as highlighted in the figure above
