    Post Unable to overwrite the file

    I have some files in the Documents folder. When I try to edit the file and click on Save, it gives me the error message as “Cannot create the C:\Users\<username>\Documents\<filename> file. Make sure the path and filename are correct”. I can save the file with new filename, I can delete the old file, I can rename the new file to the old file’s name, but I cannot edit or modify or overwrite the file. How to fix this issue? Can anyone know about this? Please help me.

    Try the below solution first:

    Right click on the Documents folder and select Properties. Then, click on the Customize tab. Then, set the “Use this folder type as a template” option to All Items. Then, select the “Also apply this template to all subfolders” checkbox. Then, click on Apply and then click on OK.
