Thread: Doc icons are showing as unknown file icon

I have MS-Office 2007 installed. I have some word documents on Word 2007 and some files are on Compatibility Mode, i.e. Saved as Word 97 – 2003 Document. There is not issue with Word 2007 files, but Compatibility Mode files are showing like Unknown File icon. How to fix it? Can anyone know about this? Help me. Please.

Try to do the MS-Office 2007 Repair. While repairing, in Windows Installer, select “Change” instead of Uninstall. It will repair your MS-Office 2007.
