Post Vista is showing Windows drive as C, but it is installed on D. How to fix it?

I have Japanese Windows Vista Home edition on C:\ drive on my laptop. It was a pre-installed OS. So, I installed English Windows Vista Ultimate OS on my D:\ drive. Now, when I boot into English Windows Vista, it shows the Windows Drive as C:\ drive. If I boot into Japanese Windows Vista Home OS, it also shows the Windows Drive as C:\ drive. Is there anyway to change it? Please help me. It is creating a problem for some programs to work properly.

Windows Vista always installs itself on Active partition. If you are installing Vista from booting into a Vista Installation DVD, it will be always set to C:\ drive as an installed drive, even though you have installed on D:\ drive. So, you can fix this issue by using anyone of the method:

    1) Uninstall your English Windows Vista and then hide the Vista partition and set the partition, on which you are going to install English Windows Vista, as a Active partition using Diskpart command.

    2) Boot into Japanese Windows Vista and run the Setup of English Windows Vista within the installed OS instead of booting from Vista DVD.
