Default Create a "Safely Remove Hardware" Shortcut



How to Create a Safely Remove Hardware Shortcut in Windows Vista?



Whenever you have to remove a removable hardware safely, you use the icon on the Taskbar in the Notification area. This tutorial will help you in creating a Safely Remove Hardware shortcut so that you do not have to jostle with the small icon on the Taskbar.

You can accomplish this in the following manner:

1) Right click on the Desktop and choose New and then Shortcut option

2) Now type or copy RunDll32.exe shell32.dll,Control_RunDLL hotplug.dll in the location textbox and press Next button

3) Type a desired name, say Safely Remove Hardware, and press Finish button

4) You can now view the Safely Remove Hardware shortcut on the Desktop
