How to Create a System Restore Shortcut in Windows Vista?


To accomplish this follow these steps:

1) Right click on the Desktop and choose New and then Shortcut option

2) Now type %SYSTEMROOT%\System32\rstrui.exe and press Next button

3) Type a shortcut name, such as System restore, for example, and press Finish button

4) The System Restore shortcut will be created on the Desktop

5) You can now change its icon
