How to Fix Desktop Sidebar Gadgets not displayed properly problem in Windows Vista?


It may happen that you get to see a black square clock on your Desktop Sidebar and other items as white rectangles. This tutorial will help you in fixing this issue.

You can fix this problem in the following way:

1) First close the Desktop Sidebar by right clicking it and choosing Close Sidebar option

2) Open Elevated Command Prompt and type regsvr32 msxml3.dll and press Enter key

3) Click OK button when successful

4) Now type regsvr32 scrrun.dll and press Enter key

5) Click OK button when successful

6) Now type regsvr32 jscript.dll and press Enter key

7) Click OK button when successful

8) Now start the Sidebar by right clicking the Windows Sidebar icon on the Taskbar and choosing Open option

9) If the problem is not eradicated then perform System Restore
