Thread: Unable to install Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 on Vista

I have downloaded Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 from the Adobe’s site. When I try to install it by using setup file, I am getting the dialog box asking me for the location to extract the files for installation. If I choose to create a folder to extract to, it gives the error message as “A problem occurred while creating the destination folder. Please check the folder permissions or choose a different folder”. Even if I choose the existing folder, I get the same error. I have logged in ad administrator and I am the owner of the folder, but still can’t install. I have also tried with hidden administrator by enabling it, but no use. I have disabled UAC, but still cannot install. Can anyone tell me the fix for this issue? Help me. Please.

Re-enable the UAC and try to install. Go to User Accounts and then click on “Turn User Account Control on or off” and then select the “Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer” checkbox and click on OK.

Once you have enable UAC, then right click on the Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 setup file and click on “Run as administrator”. It will be installed.
