Post Unable to connect to the printer on Windows XP system

I have two systems, one is Windows XP and another is Windows Vista Home Premium. I have a HP 720c printer on my Windows XP system. I have enabled File and Printer Sharing on both the systems. I am trying to print the documents from Vista system. When I go to Add Network Printer and search for the printer, it won’t detect it. I have manually search for it. When I click on it, it gives me the error message as “Windows cannot connect to the printer. Access is denied”. How do I fix it? Please help.

On the Windows Vista system, click on Start menu and then Control Panel and then Printers and then Add Printers. Then, click on “Add a Local Printer” and then select “Create a new port” option and then select Local Port from the drop down box. Then, give the printer name as \\system name\printer name. If you give the correct network path, then the printer will be added.
