How to Change Ribbons Screen Saver Settings in Windows Vista?

By default Vista does not allows you to change the Ribbons Screen Saver Settings. On doing this you will get the following error:

However you can change it using Registry Editor .
To accomplish this follow these steps:
1) Open Registry Editor and navigate to the key branch
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ Current Version \ Screensavers \ Ribbons in the left pane

2) Right click on the right pane and select New and then DWORD (32-bit) Value option as shown in the above figure
3) Name this DWORD as one of the following options:
• Blur – Can have value 0 or 1. Value 0 enables the fade effect and 1 disables it.
• Numribbons – Can have value between 1 and 100. This determines the number of ribbons to be displayed on the screen.
• RibbonWidth – Can have value between 1000000000 and 1080000000. Sets the width of the ribbons.
4) Let us name the DWORD as Blur

5) Now double click the Blur DOWRD and select the Decimal dot

6) Now type 0 to enable the fade effect and 1 to disable it in the Value data textbox as shown in the figure above.
7) Repeat steps 2 to 6 to set other settings shown in the list above.
8) Close Registry Editor
