I have a Recycle Bin icon on my desktop along with my files and folders. I will be deleting the files and folders from the desktop. When deleting, accidentally, I will delete the Recycle Bin icon also. Again I have to go to Personalize and Desktop Settings and I have to check the Recycle Bin checkbox. Instead of doing this, is there anyway to place the Recycle Bin icon on the Quick Launch toolbar so that even though I delete from the Desktop, it will be there in Quick Launch? Can anyone know about this?

Right click on the Quick Launch and select Open Folder, as shown in the below figure:
Then, come to the Desktop and right click on the Recycle Bin and select Create Shortcut. Then, copy or cut the Shortcut file and paste it in the Quick Launch folder. Then, close the folder. Now, your Recycle Bin will be in the Quick Launch toolbar. In case, if you want to remove the icon, then go to the Quick Launch folder as explained above and delete the icon. |
