How to fix Extra Wide Context Menu bug caused by WinRAR in Windows Vista?


It may happen that when you right click an item you see the extra widened right click menu or context menu. This bug is caused by WinRAR and can be fixed easily.

You can fix this bug in the following way:

1) Open WinRAR and click on Options menu and then select Settings option

2) Select the Integration tab and uncheck the option Icons in context menu under Shell integration section and click OK button

3) Now see if the problem is solved if is solved then exit else go to next step

4) Repeat steps 1 and 2 and check the option Cascaded context menus under Shell integration section and click OK button

5) Now see if the problem is solved if is solved then exit else go to next step

6) Repeat steps 1 and 2 and uncheck the option Integrate WinRAR into shell under Shell integration section and click OK button

7) The problem will be solved.
