How to Enable or Disable Smart Image Dithering in Internet Explorer in Windows Vista?
“Smart image dithering” feature smooths images that appear blur, uneven or jagged. In the other words it improves quality of the downloaded images. If you think that this feature is a time waste or you are ready to compromise with the quality of the images then you can very well disable it.
You can accomplish the in the following way:
1) Open Internet Explorer and click the Tools menu and then select Internet Options

2) Now select the Advanced tab and navigate to Multimedia section

3) Check the option Smart image dithering to enable the feature
OR
Uncheck the option Smart image dithering to disable it.
4) Click Apply and then OK button
