How to Refresh or Update Windows Experience Index Base Score in Windows 7?



Windows Experience Index (WEI) represents the capability of the hardware and software of your system. This capability is measured and represented by a number or score called base score. Higher the base score better will be the hardware and software performance. It also helps you in buying certain software whose functioning will depend on the value of this base score.

To refresh or update Windows Experience Index follow these steps:

1) Right click on the My Computer icon on the Desktop and select Properties option

2) Click the Windows Experience Index link

Now click the Re-run the assessment in the bottom right corner of the window

4) Wait till the process finishes
