How to Enable or Disable Command Prompt Quick Edit Mode in Windows 7? Command Prompt in Windows 7 allows you to copy text from it to the Clipboard (temporary storage area). The Quick Edit Mode allows you to highlight the text with the help of mouse and then copy the text. To accomplish this follow these steps: 1) Open Command Prompt and right click on its Title bar and select Properties option Figure 1 2) Click the Options tab and check the option Quick Edit Mode to enable the copy to clipboard feature OR Uncheck the Quick Edit Mode option to disable copy to clipboard feature Figure 2 3) Click OK button 4) You can now highlight the text in the Command Prompt by dragging mouse and then press Enter key to copy the text in the Clipboard More Windows 7 articles |
