How to fix Video output problems in VLC Media Player in Windows 7?



VLC Media Player which is one of the widely used media player as it can play a plethora of audio and video formats, may not display video when played in Windows 7. However this can be fixed via simple setting.

To fix this problem follow these steps:

1) Open VLC Player and select Tools and then Preferences option

2) Select Video option in the left pane and try the following options from the dropdown list in the right pane one by one:

DirectX video output
Windows GDI video output

3) Press Save button

4) See if the problem is solved. If not then try other options from the dropdown list in the step 2
