    How to select target browser for a web page created using Word 2010

    Word 2010 allows you to create webpages. You can customize your web pages with a number of settings provided by Word 2010. Among them one is the selection of target browser for your web page. Target browser for a webpage refers to the browser in which the web page can be opened. You can select a target browser for your web page from a list of browsers provided by Word 2010. Go through the under mentioned steps for selecting target browser for web page created using Word 2010 to accomplish the task yourself.

    Steps for selecting target browser for a web page created using Word 2010: -

    1.
    You have to invoke the dialog box for "Word Options" to proceed further. For opening the dialog box, first click on the button for "Microsoft Office" and then trace any one of the under mentioned steps.

    a) When you click on the "Microsoft Office" button, a drop down list for sub options will appear. The list accommodates tab and button for options related to Word 2010. Click on button tagged as "Options" from that list, located below "Word" tab.

    b) When you click on the "Microsoft Office" button, a drop down list for sub options will appear. The list accommodates tabs and button for options related to Word 2010. Click on the "Word" tab from that list, and then from its adjacent side click on the "Options" tab located below the section "Microsoft Tools".

    2. Now as the "Word Options" dialog box is open, you can proceed further on selection of a target browser for webpages created using Word 2010. Click on the tab tagged as "Advanced" from the left part of dialog box for "Word Options" and then find a button tagged as "Web Options..." under "General" section which is located on the adjacent side of "Advanced" tab. Click on "Web Options..." button to open dialog box for "Web Options".

    3. Click on the "Browser" tab in the dialog box for "Web Options" and then click the down arrow marker of the selection box for "People who view this Web page will be using:" option located below the "Target Browsers" section. Then click on the browser name that you want to use for opening the web page created using Word 2010. Now click on "OK" button of the dialog box for "Web Options".

    4. Click on the "OK" button of the dialog box for "Word Options", to close it.

    After successful tracing of the above step you can now select a target browser for webpages created in Word 2010.
