How to disable or enable don’t use HTML paragraph auto spacing option of Word 2010
An output layout for the document prepared in Word 2010, is something which enables the user to view the document as it was prepared in other version of the same application or any other application which opens word documents. Selecting an output layout for a word document is an easy task. (Ref to this article: - Choose an output layout for the documents created of Word 2010). In addition there are various features associated with different layout. You can also select "Custom" as the output layout type for your document, and then can enable or disable the layout options that you would like to apply on your document. Among the various layout options, one is for not using HTML paragraph auto spacing. When you opt to enable "Don't use HTML paragraph auto spacing" option, After/before setting the automatic spacing for paragraph, then adjusting of paragraph spacing After/before to 5 pt. is done by Word 2010 or else if the option is disabled then default settings will be used After/before paragraph spacing. The functionality of this option is same as it was in earlier versions of Word application. The option is allowed to be enabled or disabled according to the user need or requirement. Follow the undernoted steps to accomplish the enabling and disabling of don't use HTML paragraph auto spacing option among the layout options of Word 2010.
Steps to enable or disable don’t use HTML paragraph auto spacing option of Word 2010: -
1. To start the procedure you have to click on a button which is used to invoke sub-options related to "Microsoft Office" Word. The button is of blue colour and is placed in the leftmost top corner of ribbon for Word 2010. After clicking the button follow a step from the two under mentioned steps, to open the dialog box for "Word Options".
a) From the sub-option for "Microsoft Office" Word, click on button labelled by for "Options" tag. This button is placed below the "Word" tab in the sub-options only.

OR
b) From the sub-options for "Microsoft Office" Word, click on the tab labelled by "Word" tag, and then in its adjacent side on another tab which is labelled by "Options" tab. This tab is placed below the "Microsoft Tools" section.

2. "Word Options" dialog box once opens allow you to proceed further. Click on "Advanced" tab located in left side of dialog box of "Word Options" and then look for "Compatibility options for:" section. Then find "Layout Options" label placed below the "Compatibility options for:" section and click on the plus (+) mark at its start, to expand the layout options.

3. Now find the option "Don't use HTML paragraph auto spacing" and its checkbox, in the expanded layout options. Then click inside the checkbox to put a right mark i.e. check in it. Checking the checkbox of the respective option i.e. not using HTML paragraph auto spacing, means it is now enabled.
OR
Now find the option "Don't use HTML paragraph auto spacing" and its checkbox, in the expanded layout options. Then click inside the checkbox to clear i.e. uncheck in it. Unchecking the checkbox of the respective option i.e. not using HTML paragraph auto spacing, means it is now disabled.

4. Close the dialog box for "Word Options" by clicking the "OK" button placed in the bottom part of the same dialog box.

Tracing of the above steps in a successful manner leads you to accomplish the task, to enable or disable the "Don't use HTML paragraph auto spacing" option in Word 2010.
