Removing Tabbed Browsing from Internet Explorer 7



The new tabbing aspect in Internet Explorer can be useful; however, like other things with Windows 7, you may not want to get used to the changes. You can get free of this feature if you choose.

To disable the tabs, just follow the below steps:

1) Open the Internet Explorer.

2) Click on Tools and select Internet Options, as shown in Figure 1.

1. Click here...

2. ...and then choose Internet Options.


3) Click the Settings button in the Tabs section, as shown in Figure 2.

1. Choose the Settings button in the Tabs options.

4) Uncheck the Enable Tabbed Browsing option, as shown in Figure 3, and then click OK to exit.

1. Uncheck this setting.

5) You must close Internet Explorer and reopen it to use the new settings.
